clunking noise???

So I put the rough country 2" lift on my 06 wk its been on for about 2weeks and the past fee days I've heard this weird clunking noise coming from the front end so I pulled off the tires and went looking for something loose but couldn't find anything and it still is doing it. Any suggestions on what I should look at that might be causing it?

You sure that clunking noise isn't coming from the drivetrain? Bad or misaligned universal joints can cause a clunking sound.

Does it mainly happen when you put it in gear, either forward or reverse, but goes away or decreases during normal driving?

No it only happens when I'm driving forward and its real bad hitting bumps but if I hit the brakes it stops

Then my guess is probably wrong. You need to get it up on a hoist and see if you can find any marks/scrapes left from where it is hitting.

Re: clunking noise???

My end links screws were loose (due to my mechanic-that's another story) causing this unbelievable clunking. I ended up buying new screws at the dealer and tighting them and now it's as quiet as can be.

Re: clunking noise???

That's right. I'm pretty sure to get your lift on someone had to have taken them off.
