Coolant leak passenger side; under carpet.

I've got an '05 Jeep WK Laredo (242k kms) with a V6 under the hood and I've been noticing an orange/pinkish liquid seep through the carpet on the front passenger side. The first snowfall just happened and I'll be damned if I'm going to walk to work through a blizzard again. I had the thermostat changed due to the Jeep overheating when I had it idling. Also, I've been losing a lot of coolant in the reservoir and no obvious spots under the jeep or on the driveway.

Re: Coolant leak passenger side; under carpet.

Sounds like a heater core or related pipes. Fairly big job to tear into the dash to get to it, although some people have got access by cutting through some of the dash support. If you search for heater core replacement, you should get a fairly good sense of what is involved.

Alright, thanks a lot. I'll look into it some more and see what I can do.

Deff a leaking heater core.
