that's because high-end German cars suck in terms of holding together.
they're made to stay together long enough to outlast their warranty, and then promptly fall to pieces.

lol anywho. the wood grain finish for the Overland wheel is different from the wood grain finish my 05 has on the dash/door panels, correct? it would be cool to go to the wood grain, but it would drive me crazy if it didn't match.

Re: crappy leather WK steering wheel anybody?

if you want to recover the original one, maybe get a bit more padding, try 22elite.com they do a ton of lx work and have ALL chrysler exact colors of leather. thery did some leather for me: console and visors and bith match exact.

i like the comments about high end cars peeling as well, but a simple search on any longer term wk site will uncover a ton of peeling steering wheels WELL WITHIN the 3/36 timeframe. also lots of warranty denial claims.

for the OP , based on what i have seen about the peeling, your wheel is lucky to have made it that long. I would go salvage for a replacement. a UK guy here bought a $800 new wheel for 40 bux in salvage place. try car-part.com if they are peeling they wont bother trying to sell them so you may get one with some life rather cheap. and the reason they are so cheap.........

I've got an Overland wheel in my Limited and the wood is so close that you can't hardly tell. It doesn't bother me and looks great!

Re: crappy leather WK steering wheel anybody?

Has anybody put this on their WK? Does it fit or do you know the size of our steering wheel?

Re: crappy leather WK steering wheel anybody?

My ZJ started to rip apart at the top so I just bought a wheel cover for it. They are a true bitch to put on and you will have to fight with it but once its on, it has a very nice fit. I just got a wheel cover for my KK a few weeks ago and love it.

Re: crappy leather WK steering wheel anybody?

That sucks. I'd go for a woodgrain wheel, I love the look and feel of those, and you have less leather to worry about. Just keep the leather clean and conditioned and you should be good.

In that case we're looking at $15 vs. $300+. It doesn't bother me that much. Would rather put the money into other mods.

On any auto store or here. Wheelskins is a good option as well IMO.
