Re: crappy leather WK steering wheel anybody?

Why dont you consider the wheel from an Overland? The top half of my one is wooden, so no problems with grubby hands?

Again, spending $600 on an Overland steering wheel is not something I'm interested in. Plus, a wood trim wheel, in an otherwise non-wood trim Rocky Mountain Edition doesn't seem right to me.

You base this on what???

For your information, my 2001 X5 with 200K+ miles on it has a leather-wrapped steering wheel that looks brand new.

Re: crappy leather WK steering wheel anybody?

My Overland steering wheel looks nearly flawless, only a slight scratch from my wris****ch band on part of the leather. I have cleaned and conditioned it at least once every few months, since I purchased my WK Overland new in 2006. It is over 100,000 miles now. I use those leather wipes from Meguiars or Armor All.

Re: crappy leather WK steering wheel anybody?

Chrysler is notorious for having crapping leather steering wheels... ive had several Jeeps do that and my buddies Dodge Ram did it too... Just ask Elvis.
