Cross country trip with higher miles

I'm heading down to the Gulf from Michigan this weekend (1000 miles each way) in my 05 WK. Knock on wood but I've never had any issues in the 3 years I've owned it. I do have 135k on the odometer though. Has anyone here done big trips like this with high miles? The last thing I want is to be stuck half way there. This is my 3rd Jeep with the 3.7 (had two liberties) and I've always trusted them, just looking for some input.

Jeez. Don't know about that motor but I put over 300,000 miles on my '96 Cherokee with the 4.0 L and its still running. Long trips and short.

Re: Cross country trip with higher miles

All depends on how well you've maintained it.
I never thought twice about hopping in a 95 ZJ with over 200K miles and heading across country, plus a few detours into Death Valley and Big Basin.

It did get new tires as the tread got low or they reached 4-5 years, the fluids were always kept fresh, and anything else that even hiccupped was fixed.
