custom tune........

SO I WENT TO RALPH AND JOHNS SHOP IN Brookyln NY WHICH IS ONE OF THE SHOPS LISTED IN THE DIABLO WEBSITE AS A TUNER . I THOUGHT I WAS GOING THERE FOR A DYNO TUNE AND I WAS SUPPOSE TO BE GETTING 30/35 MORE HORSE POWER WITH A PROPER DYNO TUNE. TURNS OUT THE GUY ONLY HAD A REAR WHEEL DRIVE DYNO. SO HE LIFTED THE TRUCK DISCONNECTED THE DRIVE SHAFT AND THREW IT IN PLACE THE CAR WOULD NOT ENGAGE IN THE REAR THE WHEELS WOULD NOT SPIN. SO AFTER AN HOUR OF TRYING THINGS AND MAKING PHONE CALLS JR GAVE UP AND SAID THERE WAS NO WAY IT COULD BE DONE, AND HE DIDNT KNOW WHY BECAUSE HE SAID HE DOES IT ON THE SRT8 JEEPS ALL THE TIME. SO LONG STORY SHORT HE FINALLY CUSTOM MADE ME A TUNE THROUGH THE DIABLO PREDATOR THAT MADE A GREAT CHANGE IN POWER TO THE TRUCK, WHICH IM HAPPY OF BUT IT STILL WASNT THE POWER I REALLY WENT THERE FOR. IM TRYING TO NOW FIND SOMEONE IN NEW YORK WITH AN ALL WHEEL DRIVE DYNO THAT CAN PROPERLY TUNE MY JEEP.

He was supposed to take out the transfer case motor.

If it's a 5.7 he has the 545 RFE....He needs a 4x4 dyno with both rollers linked.

Anything else and the Jeep will flip out and go into limp mode as it will see that the front wheels are not turning the same as the rear via the speed sensors and it will try to fix it by applying the brakes on the rear and transferring power via the ELSD's and the clutch in the T case. When it can't succeed in equalizing the power/wheel spin it will limp.
