So it's time to change my pads, got the thermoquiet's in today from rockauto (anyone need a set, i bought two on accident :lol. Now since I'll be painting the calipers, changing our the sway bar and links, I figure I'd look into doing the R1 D+S rotors but then it struck me.....isn't it going to be damn near impossible to have them machined the next time the pads are changed? Wouldn't that equate to a 40-50k mile investment of around $300 for rotors that have to be replaced with the pads?
Everywhere I read largely says that no one will machine them because of the damage they do to carbide tips.
