Dayco 89254

I just bought a Dayco 89254 tensioner assy for my 05 grand cherokee (3.7L). It looks as if the bottom pulley (the one that is smooth) is bigger than the OEM. I put the new one on but the tension are seems to be at it limit. Will this cause any problems. Has anyone had any problems with this tensioner. I am kind of scared to drive it, as I don't want anything to happen. Are all aftermarket tensioners made like this.
