Re: Dealerships, do you trust yours?

When you find a good dealer hold on tightly! We've had 13 new vehicles over the past 25 years and 15 dealers in that same time. 4 of the most recent vehicles were purchased and serviced at the same dealer, so do the math. It is very hard to find a good dealer but once you find one treat them like the rare gem they are and you'll reap the rewards. If you are in the MD/DC area I HIGHLY recommend the folks at FredFrederick Chrysler/Jeep in Laurel MD or Easton MD.

I had wanted to do the poll as written, but then I realized the original question could be interpreted 2 ways, so thought I'd throw my suggestion into the discussion.

I did answer the "orgional" poll and the comments help the thread.

I join this point of view , since redistribution of dealerships with Alfa and Fiat , it's not the same.

For some year I could go to the guy ordering the parts without the need to give him the PN , now I spend more time to have the right part .
Now I could work in sales for the parts I'm knowing a lot of PNs
He was also able to give advice on how to mount the part so you spend some money..
Now I let some repair I've done in the past be made by dealership , so if they don't order the right PN....it's their problem

Regarding service they've kept one good mech ( former working in jeep workshop) he known the jeeps and the job is well done

So yes for the service , no for the sales

Re: Dealerships, do you trust yours?

Yes.

The Service Manager and lead service tech have been nothing but top notch correcting issues.......and my Heep has had more than its share. Owner has gone out of his way to ensure everything was properly addressed. Now Jeep technical support...that's a much different answer.

Build date Sept '07, so it's the Bankruptcy Edition.

Re: Dealerships, do you trust yours?

the two service centres i have used are terrible, one didnt follow the engine oil change procedure which in turn caued the bearing to start knocking, set my back 120 in "diag fees" they have since gone into administration.

the other one i have just visited, tried to rip me off, wanted $300 to change a bulb and two hours labour..... so no, i dont trust like jeep service centers.

by the way its SG Smith in Sydenham London UK

Re: Dealerships, do you trust yours?

So far I trust mine, even tho they we bought out by another investment group. They were helpful when they did the warranty work on the door trim AND when they tore up the center stack bezel when they installed the 740n.
