I take care of my WK, it would be nice to know that when I drop it off, they take care of it too. I intend on installing a camera inside my vehicle next time I drop it off, I'd like see how these guys treat it when I hand over the keys of a vehicle that cost me tens of thousands.

Please do this...and please post your findings for us to see. I've known a lot of techs in my day. Not ONE had any respect for the property they were working on. "Test drives" mean driving customer's cars like total d-bags. They are a big reason why I'd rather spend the time, money, and frustration and do it myself, and if I can't, I watch them like a hawk.

Tonight I pulled a dodge ram 3500 into my stall... window sticker is 55k dollars, fully loaded and sold might I add, they wanted running boards installed. I am not saying this because I am proud or because I dont care, I A) Feel horrible and B) cannot allow myself to lose sleep over it because it was not carelessness. I am watching all the corners I possibly can, keeping an eye on the huge fenders on the bed making sure I dont run them into the wall in my tiny space. I got it in enough to lift the front end up to install the running board, get out only to find that a cart that was just below my view in my mirror scraped about 6 inches down the side of the bed. Again, im not proud of this, and this is not a common thing for me. But things happen sometimes.

I didnt cover it up, I let the writer know, personally showing him the damage.

I respect its your baby, I have never spent the kind of money 98% if the people on this forum have spent on their vehicles, hell my wk costed me 3k dollars start to finish. So ill NEVER know the feelings you do with either a large car payment or a large chunk of saved money down. That said its a car, and I can promise you it was not something they ment to do or did just to piss you off. If you spent 1 day in a techs shoes you would still not be ok with it (as you never should) but you would understand how it can happen occationally and unfourtunatly it was your car this time. Again, at least they were taking care of it properly, count your blessings!

See your an honest person and I respect that..when I went in and asked what happened to my mirror no one would admit who did it and I'm not one to start pointing fingers...I just felt disrespected and treated like I was a joke.. I'm only 20 years old and I'm a 5th year electrical apprentice I own up to everything I do.. the right and wrong..

Re: Dealerships suck

I'm sure dealerships have cases of customers reporting damage that never happened.

I would appreciate if they fessed up like 2005jgc did and then it gets fixed no arguing and the customer will more likely come back to that dealer.
