disconnecting front drive shaft

i have a 2007 wk 4.7 and was wondering if it is possible to take out my front drive shaft. would it hurt anything or what would i need to do to make this possible. i just want to see how much performance improvement it would do. i believe i can do it and turn off the ess and be fine. but what u guys think?

I don't think it'll work.

With the open diff at the transfer case you're not going to move without both drive shafts attached.

This has been covered before. Wont work unless you have a selectable transfer case.
