Do Not Buy From moparsupercenter.com

I don't know if this is the right place to post this but I need to vent.... So I recently purchased a mopar body kit replacement for my jeep (wife trashed front bumper) from moparsupercenter.com.... bumper arrived warped as if it had been stepped on. So I contacted customer service and 2 weeks later fedex finally came and picked the bumper back up...... got my refund today from paypal and this is what was said...

Note from merchant
Customer claimed part was damaged beyond repair. Upon inspection, item appears to have slight "warp" but plastic parts would easily mount and after sitting in sunlight would have lost warp altogether. Full Refund, will not re-sell parts to customer.

I paid $800 for this and I was just supposed to put it on and hope its shape will come back to normal.... I try to go on their website because I was just gonna order the srt8 front bumper and they blocked my IP address!!! I guess I will take my business somewhere else......

sorry just had to vent but at least I got my money back!!

Sounds like a shitty place to deal with. At least they gave you a full refund. Wouldn't have surprised me if they tried to charge a restocking fee since it sounds like they are unwilling to own up to their **** up.

If memory serves correct, You are just using the front lip because you already have side skirts correct? Let me know if you wanna sell your new ones.

You should get a quote to have the front lip painted. I've seen the primed kits going for about $500 on a few sites.

From the vendors point of view. A customer returned a perfectly good piece because they didn't know that a little heat would bring it back into shape. A body shop would have just used it and all would be fine.

Instead of giving an amateur a hard time, they gave them a full refund. But, to avoid having to incur more costs because of the customer's ignorance they decided not to take another chance. Probably a good decision.

-----------------

I'm not saying what is right or wrong, just pointing out the other side of the coin.

It was not a slight warp... there was no way this thing would have clipped onto the other bumper without screws holding it in place.... im not very picky when it comes to things not fitting right and can usually make them work, im not an amatuer.... there was no working with this thing

As far as I'm concerned this is a strong RECOMMENDATION for this vendor.

Not only did they give the OP a 100% refund, but they ate substantial shipping in both directions. All they asked was that the OP take his business elsewhere.

By his own account, the OP was still happy to buy from them until they banned him from their site. Only then did he decide the rest of us ought to boycott the vendor!

As said previously, any autobody shop would have installed the thing. If the OP thinks that the product was a factory second misrepresented as new goods, that would be a different issue--but there's no indication of this.

I'm sorry the OP got banned from their site, but if he spent two weeks complaining about a slow pickup when he'd already cost them hard money, I can sure understand why they'd want to wash their hands of this.

I cost them money?? I spent $800 on this, if it was $10-$20 that would be different.... why should I have to "try to make it fit" I don't know about you but $800 is a lot of money for a piece of warped plastic that wont fit proper on my vehicle.... maybe they should have done a better job packaging it in the first place, it showed up in a huge unsupported box all beat to hell that if anyone would have even just sat on it would have messed the bumper up ... no supports or bracing of any sort in the box

For a refund like this Amazon will deduct the shipping and require you to pay the shipping back. On an item this large that's probably a hundred bucks combined. Vendor paid both.

Vendor did not deduct a restocking fee, which would be reasonable with an item like this. Very possible the vendor had to purchase this from the supplier and is now stuck with it, or has to pay a restocking fee.

So vendor pays out one or two hundred dollars and gets NOTHING from the OP--except a call to boycott on the internets.

ok dude whatever.... I guess its all my fault....

mods please close this thread im done with this guy

that is more than a slight warp..

you spend $800 on a product and you expect it to be right...why should he take it to a bodyshop and pay more $$ out of his pocket to make it work? GTFO

After reading this i just had to make a comment. As far I see this vendor has provided the best possible customer service. They accepted your return, absorb all the cost and no questions asked. Sometimes we all feel that customers are always right but a company has the right to refuse service if they feel a customer is troublesome.
Also all mass produced parts will always have some flaws. ie: you can buy a $500 intake manifold and still require some grinding to make it fit properly. I understand the OP's frustration but its not the Vendors fault.....after all they didn't produce the parts....theyjust sell them. Good luck.
