Since i have owned my jeep (bought about 7 months ago) the climate control has never lit up so i figured that was just how they were set up...but when i see pictures of the limited i see that they have illuminated climate controls. Anybody know the answer? This is for the V6 base model.
they burn out because they are crappy bulbs and overheat. i replaced my climate control box by buying a new one on ebay for about $20. some other members have just replaced the bumbs with leds.
Sweet i'll just replace that myself then...i've always been thinking to myself that that wasn't very smart for jeep to do that...but the whole time it was me who wasn't so smart :iws:
Mine do not work either. I find it hard to believe all three bulbs burnt out at the same time. My instincts tell me it's a blown fuse. Does anyone know what fuse controls the HVAC lights? I read through the listing on wkjeeps, but couldn't figure it out. And while I'm at it, anyone know the fuse for the windshield sprayers, because they aren't working either.
hi swing4terps.
there are no fuse for a/c illumination nor for the windshield washer pump motor.
The illumination is controlled by the CCN ( instrument cluster ) and the pump motor is controlled by the IPM ( integrated power module ) in the engine compartment.
I think the pump motor or connector is bad, and that all bulbs in the A/C module are blown.
best regards
Michael
I cant believe that the light bulbs are burning out already on fairly new cars, my 1989 Pathfinder still has the original dash light bulbs and climate control bulbs and they work perfectly..even after 20 years. whats up with that???
