The published parts books are not always accurate, the dealer online versions are kept more up to date. I remember doing some research for someone per the lam glass some years back, seems like they changed back and forth between lam and tempered at different times. The best way to see the part # spec'd for your particular vehicle would be to run your VIN through the online parts system as it will filter to the correct number. This I can do if you want to pm last 8 digits of VIN.

As far as the "H", "P", "S" and "X" designations, looking though other areas of the parts books (like grilles) will confirm the assigned designations that I listed. "Platinum" parts for the '07 Overland for example will come up as "S".

What a pain in the ass!! Reminds me that I need to buy a shop vac.
When mine was rolled over I was glad that the glass wasn't lamiated, I don't know what I would have done if the windows were preventing me from getting out.

Yeah, I sounds safer by preventing a passenger from being ejected from the vehicle during an accident. It does sound like a pain (or worse) after the accident, especially from a rescue perspective.

Re: Door Glass - Tempered vs Laminated?

I have laminated on mine which i love, great for sound insulation and to prevent snatch and grab.
I am using 5mm tint all around to help out with the low lives.
Here is a picture i took when i smached into a tree stump.
