Driver seat movement, sliding, rocking

Anyone out there notice a problem with there drivers side front seat having a slight sliding foward movement & click noise when stoping, and then the same movement/noise when accelerating?

I've tried moving the electric seats in all directions but the slight movement/noise remains. Its not a rocking effect ( I had that in my Vette), more of a fore and aft slide movement. Tightened all the seat bolts I can find (none were loose) and its still there.

I've got 70k on the odo, and have had this issues for at least 15k miles that I can recall. Dealer has said the usual, unable to duplicate customer complaint.

Comments appreciated.

Re: Driver seat movement, sliding, rocking

if it doesnt happen all the time i would think it would have something to do with thee motor and whatever keeps it clamped to the rails

That's what I'm talkin' about. Now to find out why and how to fix it.

Hopefully someones had this problem and they actually repaired it. I plan to have the service director take it for a ride with me next time in the shop.

Re: Driver seat movement, sliding, rocking

Pull the seat out and check the gap on the motor to the rail teeth or however its got for movement.
