Dtc u 1418

Apparrently not in the thread for the DTC's. Jeep set the ABS and TCS lights on, and the only dtc that shows is U 1418.

Just replaced my transfer case day before xmas eve, and the rear driveshaft last week. Also replaced the rear axle fluid and additive.

Jeep has a jack hammer like grinding noise under de-celeration, and loud moaning/whine noise while accelerating that sounds like its coming from the front now.

Could this be the front Drive shaft? Or maybe even front Diff?

Thanks in advance.

Re: Dtc u 1418

I would replace the solenoid before i replaced the whole diff.

The solenoid is a $20 part, but I bet it's a bitch to get to on the front diff. It was very easy to replace on the rear.
