Re: Dual exhaust anyone?

Alot of people buy a used SRT8 Exhaust and remove the muffler and just use the resonators and install a Y pipe or go true duals.
The SRT8 exhaust will come out dual centered tips right below the railer hitch or the bumper if you dont have a hitch. You can usually get a full srt8 exhaust for under $200.

This is the SRT8 setup on a heavily modded hemi and stock rear bumper and trailer hitch. This is what i am doing to my 4.7 and exactly what it will look like when its done.
This is 555ctsv's jeep.

This is my first SRT8 setup that i sold to this guy (timmyb) and he put it on a stock rear bumper 3.7 V6. I ahve since bought another used srt8 exhaust to install on my wk.

Marlin has a 100% custom 100% True Dual setup.

There is another guy who just did a custom dual setup. Read the whole thread. You can see Marlins setup in this thread too.
New Dual exhaust lost power !!!!

Pretty much, if you want duals you cant have the spare under the back, and you can only put the pipes within that area that the spare was with straight tips out the back some where. No room/way to make side or corner exit pipes like alot of pickup trucks have. There are also factory hangers above the axle on the pass side that you can use to hang your custom system BUT you need to make sure the pipes are really tight to the under side of the body because the sway bar and trac bar can hit the pipes if they hang too low.

I wanted to bad to do true duals with one pipe on each rear corner of the rear bumper but there is just too much junk (factory jeep stuff) in the way on the drivers side to make it work. Like this.
