Re: EGR and IAC??
You know, so far no one has argued with me when I say this, but of all chrysler engines I have found the 4.7l to have a pretty noticable shake to it more often than any other motor. It kinda comes and goes on mine, I dont count misfires, I have very fresh head work, I blocked off my egr valve to test, all new intake seals (injector orings, intake, throttle body). Brand new spark plugs, all new timing components... None of which was done to fix this shimmy mind you, I bought it with a failed head gasket.
I have mentioned this one before, but I had a 4.7l WK at work throwing a cylinder 8 misfire (cold only). leak down, static and dynamic compression tests, swapping coils, plugs, injectors, it stayed on cylinder 8. block test was clean. checked for a vacuum leak. I replaced the intake valves for carbon causing the valves to stick. The customer out of warranty got chrysler to cover the majority of the ticket (under 60k iirc) and when he returned for the repair I noticed a pretty severe shimmy... I was insterested to see if the repair would fix it. It didnt.... Wait, it did fix the cylinder 8 misfire, but it didnt fix the shimmy. It was at that time that I just settled on the fact that some are just not as smooth as others.
