So i got 3 questions. First, every electric thing in my Jeep was working just fine when i bought it, then i installed a sub [without using a capacitor (dumb mistake)] and i think the amp is responcible for my power seats no longer working. I tried locating the "fuse" but it turned out to be some sort of fuse block type thing that i've never seen and i cant figure out how to check that specific fuse. I've delt with the seats for a while now, but i just want them to work again and i want to save $100 from going to the dealership if i can. Next is all the lights in my dash now flicker like crazy, so i disconnected the amp and sub thinking this would solve the problem, and it hasn't. has anyone had anything like this that could shed some light?? lastly, i really want to paint the inside of my headlights to get rid of that chrome cause i think it looks way sweeter as i've seen on here. could someone post the link to a thread of getting the lenses off? and my WK is Deep Beryl green, should i try and find a matching color or just go black? sorry this is so long. thanks guys. all input is very much appreciated
Thanks Rob. always have helpful advice. So not gonna lie. i dont know what a key switch is or where to get one or how to replace it. sorry for asking so much, but could you maybe steer me in the right direction? i'm trying to find it on google as we speak but like i said, i dont know what im looking for ha
The picture is more than good enough for me. Thanks a ton! And do you know what I'm talking about with the fuse/seat thing? It's not a normal fuse box where you can just pop in a new fuse...
these jeeps are VERY SENSITIVE TO A WEAK BATTERY so before you go crazy with the stereo I would have it LOAD TESTED.
also just disconnect the main amp power to trouble shoot all this other stuff. THEN once you have everything working hook it up aagain and see whats happening./
My Dash lights flicker too. I have been told by some that its the key switch, and some that its the light switch. How do I determine which one is the culprit, they seem to start to flicker more when I mess with the light switch, so that has been my guess. If anyone has any insight on troubleshooting this problem, please let me know, it would probably help the op too.
I have a 2006 5.7 L Overland, the problem is the left turn signal still flicker even if the lever is in the nuetral position and the interior lights overhead is always on I can't turn it off. I would appreciate any input on these. Thanks
