Engine Temp?????

Hey guys,
I installed a 180' T-stat. I did notice the temp gauge did go down to right above the 1/4 mark upon start up and idle. I felt a noticable responce to the gas pedal initially. after driving for about 30 min the temp went up to half way (that is where it was with the regular T-stat 220 degrees). I do the the Diablo and change 8 temp setting from 230 degrees to 195. The Diablo gives 8 settings- with A/C on and wit A/C off. I turned all them to 195. how can i keep the temp down on the engine. should I turn the temp setting to 180?

this is a t-stat part # 160 from O'Rielly's

Re: Engine Temp?????

With a 180 stat you should be around 190 under normal operating conditions. If you're running it hard or running the A/C you should see it spike to 205-210 degrees
