F+B 70mm Throttle Body

Any one have experience with one of these for the 4.7L engine? I figure it will make a good addition with the H.O cams in the motor. What type of gains might i get from this? better throttle response?

Re: F+B 70mm Throttle Body

My mechanic installed them he said they were a little bit of a PITA. Best modification you can do to the 4.7 without serious engine work IMO. The claims of 25RWHP easy are true. The jeep gets up and goes now and doesnt fall flat at highway speeds. I tried the stock tune and superchips tune and its a lot better with the superchips tune. The truck does idle a little rougher now but its not that noticible. I got the cams new off ebay for $375 and got the valve springs from airram.com

Do you still have the air intake resonator?

Re: F+B 70mm Throttle Body

I recommend the fastman unless you plan on more mods...like race ported heads, stroking etc. Call and talk to B&G performance to get more from those cams and fastman tb. I also recommedn losing the intake resonator.

Re: F+B 70mm Throttle Body

Your Mech lied his ass off to you. It is a relatively simple install of any cams on this motor.

Re: F+B 70mm Throttle Body

i still have the resonator on with the CAI. I like the AFE system because it uses a synthetic filter. Im not a fan of the K&N oiled filter CAI system
