Factory remote start question

is there a way (with starscan) the dealership can make my jeep stay running longer than the 15 minute interval...... it gets cold here and the 15 minutes just doesnt warm it up and you can only remote start it twice and then you gotta put the key in to start the third time..... is there a way to disable it or reprogram it to run longer??

Re: factory remote start question

Damn. 15 minutes is a long time. You might want to look into getting an engine block heater in this case.

30 minutes being on and it doesnt melt the ice on the windows? I would get the remote start changed in a warmer climate and never go back home

I throw an old blanket on the windshield for those really cold nights. Whip it off in the morning and the windshield is 100% clear.

Re: factory remote start question

I know on the 2011+ jeeps, dodges you can set the seat heaters, defrosters, heater fan, heated steering wheel to all kick on below 30 degrees with remote start. Pretty sweet.

That would be sweet. I usually set my controls to window defrost/floorboards and it comes on with the remote start. Unfortunately the damn heated seats don't...
