in this thread, someone who has 20x9 up front is running 275/45s with no issues

Jeff - the Falkens are good tires. I ran STZ01's on a 2001 F150 Supercrew - went thru multiple sets. Averaged around 40K miles per set, good traction wet and dry, very smooth and quiet ride. Not too sure on how well they will do off-road or in any type of snow - I had my truck set up as a street truck. The STZ04's are designed to be a little more cushy than the 01's for SUV use.

Re: Factory Rep 20" - what tires?? HELP!

For 20x9 wheels, it is best to either use 275/45-20 or 255/50-20. This is because these specific size tires will not throw off the vehicle's computer. You will virtually get about the same mileage as before. If you do something a little funky, like a 265/55-20 for example, besides your mileage...you could loose considerable tread life as well. Just a thought.
The Firestone Destination ST was actually my second choice for an all-season tire. I ended up going with the Hankook Ventus 275/45-20. Both are rated well for all-season use.

How do YOU rate those Hankooks? Those are what I'm planning on getting in 255/45-20 and would appreciate any feedback.

I'll let you know shortly! I apologize if I was misleading, however-I do not actually have them on as of yet. I have them ordered along with polished srt8 reps. I did about a weeks worth of research on tires and finally due to reviews and cost ofcourse, chose the hankooks. It's odd though, seems to be that you cannot go into any regular tire shop and pick up a set of hankooks. I live in Indy and needed an all-season tire...another reason I went with the Ventus model. I have owned a couple sets of Goodyear tires and although the tread life was acceptable, the road noise was terrible. Hopefully these prove to be relatively quiet on the highway.

Re: Factory Rep 20" - what tires?? HELP!

That's the EXACT set up I think I'm getting as soon as the salt and snow is gone! Once you get them on, I'd love any feedback/pics/reviews. I'm wondering too how close to chrome those polished reps are.
