Final Tire Size Decisions...

Ok so this seems to be kind of a gray issue...

People running the RC 2" kit and having after market wheels are stating that they can run 285/70's with pinch weld cut/bent.... with no rubbing.

Other people are saying that only 265/70's fit with 2" lift... and they are still getting rubbing issues...

So does anyone have proof that I could run a 285/70/17 with RC 2" kit and bilstien shocks/struts with 17 x 8 wheels with 4.75 BS...? Or am I stuck with the 265/70s? I plan on running an A/T tire (if it matters.)

Thanks!

thats a big tire, I had 265's with the 3" OME and still had rubbing, had to bend the pinch weld. Plus you will never get that size spare to fit, I bought a used 265 tire and it squeezed into under the belly barely as it was used! You will have to go on the roof for that size spare.
