Re: Finally installed my SRT Exhaust

The left side resinator dropped down because the clamp is not tight enough even when I fully compressed it myself. And the tips are now rubbing. Plus the dam tips are not even centered to the middle of the bumper.

Note the tips are not at the same distance outwards.

I even told the guy 3 times about the holes in the frame is where the hangers should go, and he welds on that crap shown in the pic thats not even correctly positioned from one another. This is the parts he told me to go get from the dealer, the hangers, so i told him its just metal studs that are tacked on thru the dam holes.

Re: Finally installed my SRT Exhaust

it took me awhile to get my borla perfect just take some beers out and work on it yourself. I was sitting outside with a piece of wood sticking it on both sides of the tips to bumper to make sure it was exact lol. I also used some metal wire to pull the tips to the right a bit and tied it off to the frame. Looks perfect now. Goodluck! Oh ya looking good!

yeah...that looks like ass Timmy. All I can suggest is to try to loosen the clamp, reposition and retighten.

Re: Finally installed my SRT Exhaust

I just drilled a screw thru the clamp and into both pipes behind the clamp so now it wont rotate and drop at least.

Re: Finally installed my SRT Exhaust

I hate when you get stuff installed and you have to go back to the shop and tell them it is wrong they look at you like you are crazy. I hope they fix it.

Re: Finally installed my SRT Exhaust

I'm happy you got it all installed and stuff Timmy...but WOW thats a lot of drama that accompanied it...you'll get it work out tho! I've had to go back to have stuff redone at a shop too...but was never treated like that...that's just plain messed up.

Re: Finally installed my SRT Exhaust

I got it looking decent now, but its not perfect and thats how i want things and feel it should be done. You now see why I like to do everything myself, because I just end up doing in the end anyways. haha. The guy at the shop is an idiot, is a friend of a friend thats why I went.

Only thing now is the distance the tips are out from one another. I was able to bend the metal rods used as hangers to move the tips over more centered now. Its dark so ill take pix tomorrow,

Re: Finally installed my SRT Exhaust

Scott, in this picture which holes do i want the metal posts in to install the correct hangers for the tips, the outter ones? Im thinking of just installing threaded rod thru the holes and buy the rubber hangers so it lines up like it supposed to.
