Right now im all about looks. I spent alot of time trying to make my WK as best it can in my mind and so far im more than happy with it. I bought a 3.7 specifically for the better gas mileage as my previous two GC's were both V8's and they sucked down gas like crazy. but whats funny is my V6 I have now has more HP than my last 1994 GC 5.2 V8.

I have no idea whos turbo set-up that is, found it while googleing srt exhausts. I cant imagine how fast that thing must be though.

Re: Finally installed my SRT Exhaust

Timmy, if you buy the stock trailer hitch it will bolt to the stock rear frame where the exhaust is mounted. Then the trailer hitch will be directly above the exhaust tips. thats what those holes in the frame are for. Then you need to buy the trailer hitch bezel because the hitch will come out through the bumper but be level with the bottom of the bumper lip.

The only thing you need to do then is re mount the tips some how and not half assed like the shop did. thats what i had recommended to you when you came to pick up the exhaust.

I dont need/want a trailer hitch. I was trying to figure out how to add one for someone in this thread. But I see what your saying, the WK hitch mounts right up around the frame and those holes would be where the bolts go. If I were to ever need a hitch later on I would have a machine shop weld me one up that mounts to the bottom side of the frame and is shaped like a J basically to go under the tips then upwards after them to the right height. And I should of went to Lous Custom exhaust, live and learn I guess but I went to this guy twice previously and really didnt think he would do such a hack job. When I get time im going to Lous and have them fix it up nice. I filed a small claims case against that shop for my money back in court and seeing how to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. And im going to wait awhile then get him back in another way too.

Re: Finally installed my SRT Exhaust

I was praying you did not have this experience at Lou's because if you did i would have to go have a talk with JB at the manchester store and i am 100% sure he would say get your ass up here and he would fix ti personally.

If you cant seem to get it fixed right go to his shop near you and they can button it all up for you, the right way. They will deff take care of you.

If you are going to file against them just make sure you did not do anything that they can use against you, IE threatening, being a dick, etc. Yes they cant prove anything but just cover your ass.

Well the only reason I got the stock srt set-up was because Kyle sold me it for cheap and i figured having the stock pipes that go over the axle would save some headaches of a shop bending some up and they might not be exact. If I were you now, i'd go to a shop and have them route your tail pipe over to the middle of the bumper and add a Y pipe then two exhaust tips. I bet with your muffler it would sound great, basically the same just then you would have two tips out the back in the middle which is the same look. I only did mine for the look, and I luv it now. You would have to loose your spare tire for it unless your willing to pay big money for a completely custom set-up like Marlin did. I have Triple A Plus so I dont mind driving without a spare since I can have it towed back to my house if needed. For $83 a year for Triple A Plus I dont see why anyone wouldnt get it, since thats the cost of a single tow anyways nevermind the discounts I get at alot of places.

I am going to go to Lous to get it fixed right. And I was a dick to that guy, I was a dick after I pulled up and he wouldnt even look at my two tips rubbing against eachother because his car was running and he said he was heading off for lunch and told me to go to the dealer and get the correct hangers for the rear when I showed him what I had and he stated he could install it. Basically he expected me to drive around with my left side resinator hanging down and my exhaust tips rubbing and vibrating while I go buy parts to go back there and have him install, when he said he could install the dam thing. I took plenty of pix of his hack job install, printed them up and I think i have a good case to at least get most of my money back in court which im doing. He welded these peice of crap hamgers on that are over 1" off from the center which clearly shows in the pictures. I dont want anything for free, and was happy to pay $200 for the install if it was actually done correctly, not to drive back with it F'd up and hanging down off centered and him to tell me he is off to lunch and more parts are needed. Thats BS in my mind, and if more parts were needed because he isnt capable of doing it then why even install it in the first place. So out of the $200 he charged me I want $150 back, i'll pay him for the stainless Y pipe he installed and also the section of pipe he installed(not even stainless after I requested it) but im not paying for his crap ass labor. He even used dam clamps at the flange and after the Y pipe, he only welded the front of the Y pipe to the section of pipe he bent up, thats junk in my mind. I bet when I go to Lous they will laugh at me and ask if I tried to do it myself its that bad, but im hoping they will and maybe write a letter saying how shitty the install is and how they had to fix it.
