X2, Yeah dude, I am sorry to see your Jeep like that. but you might be able to fix it yourself. Get the bumper, hood and grille from car-parts.com. You probably still have the OEM HLs somewhere... You can do this without having to call your insurance. Good luck bro.

Re: Fml car crash

Sorry to hear about that Paul... Doesn't sound like there was much you could've done though and everyones okay. The damage looks worse than it probably is.

As Vinny said, it'd be a good time to get the Medic hood!

Like 10 months after buying my Jeep we were getting our first snow storm so im driving home from work all excited to finally test it out in the snow since I never had 4 wheel drive before, im halfway home when a dude pulls out in front of me, i graze the back of his SUV but it tears my tires off, screwed the rotor up, the bumper was all cracked. I actually think I hit 2 other cars but they left so I guess the damage wasnt that bad. I had to have it towed and the sad part was the tow place was 10 foot away but I couldnt even drive it that shorty distance, it spent like 2 months in the shop and I missed most of the snow that winter. I keep my fingers crossed whenever im about to buy or try something new in my Jeep now.

Re: Fml car crash

Not sure how different it is in the great white north, but usually, when the insurance company deems your car totaled, you get a nice fat check for more than what the vehicle was originally worth (or could have been sold for). At least that's how it's played out for everyone I know that's gotten into an accident where the vehicle was totaled.

And you have been tossing around the idea of getting a new vehicle.

Sometimes with a hammer, a chain and a near by three, you can unbend almost anything..
