Sorry, and not that its much better, but it does NOT take 1 minute despite what some may think. ESPECIALLY using the slow-scan.

Also consider I wanted the ABS codes pulled on my 99 volvo (she was a good car), litterally the day after I put it on craigslist, the ABS lamp came on. Common issue, the ABS module fails. But I just wanted to pulll the codes and see what I was dealing with, there was only one volvo shop of the dozen to pick from in the portland area that was willing to pull the code for what it actually was worth (furthermore they did it for free, rich's volvos A+) EVERY other shop wanted 100+ and they couldnt get me in that day... even though I clearly explained I just wanted the codes pulled, no diagnostic performed.... its a shop thing not just a dealership thing, taking time for pennies on the dollar doesnt pay bills. Nature of the beast.

Re: Fog Light Kit

Well... Volvo=Ford... There's your first problem. And I in no means, meant literally one minute. that is the time taken to just open the door and sit inside of jeep. But it doesn't take 100 worth of hourly time to do the star scan tool

Re: Fog Light Kit

Reguardless, there is also the issue of it being illegal... going in and saying "hey, ya mind setting my fog lamps up illegally" is likely not going to get you anywhere. Your best bet would be if you can get near your car while its being working, snag the tech and offer him a 20 to set them up, under the table, not on a repair order... and even then its up to the tech.

Otherwise you can make your own switch.

Also, I work in the industry, I mentioned volvo not because its a volvo but because ALL shops function with many similarities.
