What problems, if any, do you have after the SuperLift?

nice ride, do you have more videos?, how it performs on sand, I just got a 2008 with QT1 and want to know what I can and can not try. Because most people have the QTii they usually say the QTi is not 4x4.

Thanks

Re: For the guys that say the QT1 is not a 4x4

i do pretty good in sand but i think the tires are a big help. no more vids sorry ill try to make some new ones.

steep angles are whats ganna make the difference between a qt1 and qt2 but unless your doing some serious off roadding or rock crawling you'll do fine

Re: For the guys that say the QT1 is not a 4x4

So I was searching the net, and found that the Quadra Trac 1 that the WK model use is not the same as previous years, and that's why so many people state that QT1 sucks, cuz they assume is the same old Quadra Trac 1 from 2004 - years. The original QT1 only transfers the torque between axles and is never locked to the 2 axles at the same time. But the second version (the one in the WK) is under most conditions 48% to the front and 52% to the back, and under offroad conditions it combines with the Brake Traction Control System to deliver torque to the wheels with most traction.

For me that works great, cuz I'm not into rock crawling or nothing extreme, just doing some trails during the weekend.

I know this is an old thread but dmlong47 do you have any trouble with the 3.7 pulling that heavy of a tire.

Re: For the guys that say the QT1 is not a 4x4

I'm new to jeeps, but no stranger to off roading. We had trucks, and went off road way way before they started calling them SUV's. My point is it doesn't really matter if it's a Laredo, limited, or the otherland-lol. They are all going to be pretty close in limitations, and all will require improvements depending on how far you're trying to go. I've always figured driving is more about the person behind the wheel. It's good to see that as I figured that trail rated badge is a marketing ploy, and isn't worth sticking on the truck. Awesome videos

I agree with you right up until the limitations are close. QT1 is not comparable to QDII. I agree that the driver is very important, but the reason I bought a Hemi with QDII over something like a 4Runner was the locking diffs. Brake traction control is no real substitute.

Re: For the guys that say the QT1 is not a 4x4

I would be willing to bet you a good driver would surprise you with the QT1. That's why I brought the 3.7 laredo for better weight balance, and I'll add better locking diffs if I ever really feel the need.
