Front disc replacement

I just replaced the rear pads on my 06 WK and now need to address the fronts. The pads up there still have some material left. But under hard braking at highway speeds I get a lot of shuddering. None at speeds under 55mph, nor around town in regular driving. Only when braking hard on the highway.

No uneven tire wear or cupping. It's done this through different sets of tires (old factory one and new Revo2s). And through tire rotations, so I'm inclined to believe it's not the rubber or their mounting. Again, it only happens at higher speeds under hard braking. And it doesn't translate to a steering wiggle, just wheel vibration.

Sound like rotor warp?

If so whose are worth considering? I've never been thrilled with the braking action of the WK (especially the ABS on wet stuff like leaves). So an upgrade would be worth considering. Any suggestions? Or how about stuff to avoid?

Sounds like warped rotors. Stillen makes some really nice drilled rotors that would help quite a bit.

I vote raybestos high performance off Rockauto. They are great, quiet, and stop amazingly. Buy the matching pads for greatest benefit. Install is a breeze.

 I have Raybestos ceramic pads on mine. Very pleased with them. I paired 'em up with EBC High Performance Slotted/Dimpled Rotors. Huge improvement over stock.
