Fuel economy 5.7 hemi

Just curious how is everyone's fuel economy on a stock 5.7 hemi. Mine is an 08 nothing done to it yet as far as intake or exhaust. I get around 13 miles to gallon sometimes a little under 13. What about everyone else?

Re: Fuel economy 5.7 hemi

if you go to Fueleconomy.gov, it will give you the EPA estimate, including the wear and tear, on a rwd or 4wd, it gets average of 15MPG

Re: Fuel economy 5.7 hemi

Depends on how much city versus hwy driving, and city mpg suffers if you jackrabbit versus ease into the throttle from a stop. Highway mpg in mine is now above 20 cruising at 65 mph while when new it was 17.5 Driving easy, I get 15+ city.

Re: Fuel economy 5.7 hemi

I average about 12-13 but I'm mainly city driving unless I'm on the road for work. When I'm on the freeway, I get about 16-16.5.

Sometimes I'm down at 10-11 in the city but thats cause I like to get on it a bit

Re: Fuel economy 5.7 hemi

HAHAHA
True True gotta pay to play!
Was just curious, I only had it like 2 1/2 weeks. I'm coming from a 1997 grand cherokee limited with a straight 6 so I didn't really know what to expect. Plus didn't wanna ask the dealer and have them feed me some line of bull. Sounds like I'm about average right now. I already ordered a K&N Air Intake kit. Hopefuuly that comes in this week and gives me something to do this weekend. I was thinking about doing an exhaust by the end of summer but that will prob kill my mpg.
FTR pirus make me wanna puke! LOL
