Re: Fuel Pump I'm thinking

Wow, that's awesome. Thanks! I'm gonna look into this some more. I'll see how it behaves on the way to work; I disconnected the battery and cleaned up the terminals real good, 'cause I am also suspecting a battery issue (the green dot is gone too).

I feel silly ranting earlier, but one of those mornings, ha ha. I should edit tomorrow [need to get off to bed soon]

Re: Fuel Pump I'm thinking

Well, cleaned the terminals and connectors really well and the PCM reset, of course...Seem to run just fine this morning, weird, and no codes again.

Just really weird it disabled the ESP and a 'flashing' CEL. I am really starting to suspect the battery and only wish I knew 100%, it wouldn't be so bad. Last thing I want to do is throw money at 'maybe this', 'maybe that' scenarios.

As much as I hate to say this, I may look into getting something else I just don't have time to mess around with mystery gremlins and about had enough hearing the wife say 'told you so' and why'd ya sell the GTO, etc. Shame, cause I really like this thing...Just don't want to always be in doubt if it's gonna start, how's it gonna run, blah blah.

Re: Fuel Pump I'm thinking

just have the battery tested.....they should be able to tell you if its on its last leg. Check for any kind of corrosion on the terminals as well

Re: Fuel Pump I'm thinking

Terminals looks good (no corrosion), but had this jelly stuff and possibly some dirt clung to it.

Good idea, I think I'll take it to the store (it's a bosch)...sucks cause the 3-year replacement was up in Jan...they won't pro rata it without receipt, wtf...I'm buying my next battery at costco, cause the are awesome at returns and they sell (used to at least) good batts.
