Well, I got in the Wk to go to work yesterday and after backing out of the driveway I put it in D and my go pedal was stuck. I took the pressure off then hit it again (with more force) and I took off. I got out of work last night and I noticed the pedal requires a bit of initial force but then smooths out to normal. So far I have looked at the cables going to the throttle body and have looked at the pedal assembly. The sticking appears to be from the pedal assembly. I have 89k on odometer and have never had a previous issues like this. Any thoughts?
This is something youneed to fix! I'd try taking the pedal assembly apart and seeing if there's anything worn. If not, lube it with some silicone or something like that and try it again. If there's any worn parts replace them or get a new pedal assembly.
It kinda loosened up a bit for me, but today I'm pulling the pedal to see if anything snapped. Probably gonna spray a ton of silicone in there. thanks for the help guys
