Yeah, thats what my dad did. I hope yours turns out better than his did. His did see some heavy use though.
Another thing to consider when filling your diff. Use the proper amount listed in your manual. If you fill it to the hole you may be over filling it. Alot of aftermarket offroad diff covers have raised fill holes so the guys with agressive pinion angles get a proper fill. I have heard of guys with stock jeeps filling their axles with 4-5qts and it still didnt come out of the fill hole (they were actually filling the axle tubes
) I'm not sure if riddler raises them, but a few others do.
