Re: Gotta fix this

I just put oem srt shocks on my limited, which also has the tow package. with the stock shocks and struts my drop was close to 1.75" all the way around. it really leveled off the jeep. i bought them from a member of this forum about 1/3 price of other springs.

did you have to buy new tpms sensors or did you transfer your originals?

also what tire size do you have?

Did you put SRT Springs on as well ? (shocks alone shouldn't lower the Jeep)
no the tpms were with the wheels and tires, and they linked with the Jeep within 5 miles (I did notice my dash monitor acted funny when first started, then all Joy next start)
the tires are oem SRT Eagle runflats 255/45/20 front 285/40/20 rear

Re: Gotta fix this

my bad...i meant to say srt springs, not shocks. i stuck with the oem non-srt shocks, but may have to make a change if it doesn't tow like i want it to

i was very, very surprised with how much it lowered my jeep. looks lower than factory srt to me

Re: Gotta fix this

IT all depends on where/ how you drive. If the roads are smooth where you are and you don't want to go offroad with your Jeep, the handling upgrades will certainly give you great results. But there is no free lunch; IF the roads are rough, it will not be a comortable ride at all, and new sqeeks and rattles will appear before long. Bilsteins are high pressure gas shocks and will greatly improve on road handling, but on rough roads, bumps will be felt much more too.

Re: Gotta fix this

Bwoody Springs with SRT Bilstiens. Probably as low as you want to go. The ride is much more stiffer than stock, so its not for everyone. But yes, it rides on rails as you are making turns. I love it, and would never go back to stock.

Re: Gotta fix this

nice ride, I see you have the front lip and side rocker covers, is yours an Overlander ? That's what I'm thinkin' on ride hight...Scottina6's Jeep is very similar in hight and setup... Bwoodies & OEM SRT Shocks are as low as you can go (according to what I'm hearing) unless you cut down the bwoodies I've just got a pm about some SRT springs, I may start with that and WK Bilsteins. I would like the ride to not be too harsh. Bob.
PS the rockers on my jeep are even with the wheel center cap top edge, your jeep looks to be about 3" lower, your rockers are well below center of wheel look at difference where fender line meets rocker panel.

Totally offtopic but,

Someone likes taking photos infront of Canadian Tire on marine way in burnaby

Sorry, just excited to actually recognize a place posted by someone else lol.

Either that, or downtown penticton. Sorry for sounding like a creep, just trying to play detective lol
