Re: grille makeover

Do the aluminum mesh and paint it black. I'd say keep it the same color. Only if you'd like a new color go chrome.

Re: grille makeover

I have never do it but from what I hear the plasti-dip paint would be a good option. you could paint it and if you don't like it, just peel it off. no harm done to your factory painted grille. As for the mesh, alot of people have donbe the home depot thing, myself i went to pep boys and bought the mesh they had, I like it alot more.

Re: grille makeover

I don't have dark khaki but I was looking at this idea as well on my Mineral Grey Metalic. Here's a pic of what it might have looked like:

After the long debate between color matching and going black, I decided color match was a better look. JMO You could also separate the grille from the insert and just put that back in and it will give you an idea of what it might look like. Good luck!

Re: grille makeover

thanks for the suggestion guys. i have been pondering on this idea of changing the paint to black. might try the plasti dip idea bc i could peel it off. as for the labrodor comment....they are my favorite. lol. but FOR SURE going to do the grille mesh. i work in a machine shop as a machinist and im pretty mechanical. plus i have access to a cnc plasma table so i could custom cut the inserts to size. thanks again.
