halo question

so i got new halos for my fogs for my birthday because the others started dying and crap and water got into my fogs so basically i figured id do it right this time and bought the falshtech ones. my question is that they came with a voltage regulator but im not sure how to mount this and stuff the directions are pretty detailed but i dont get if i have to run each led to it or just hook them up together and run one wire to it. also where is a good mounting place.

thanks for the help

Re: halo question

pic of the regulator

looking at the wires:

red top left is battery power
black bottom left is ground

top right is trigger. I use a switch. HOW DO ZYOU WANT THEM TO COME ON: put that wire in this location.

the rest......top is power and lower is ground for all your rings. in my pic I have 4 rings wired in.

the little screw at the very top on the blue thing......that the adjuster.

your rings came with a max voltage on the bag, set they regulator to NOT exceed that.

you'll need to find the proper voltage using a multi-meter on the terminals and turning the screw.

Re: halo question

you can also ask wes@flashtech or call them. they have a PDF but of course my PIC is better.

you may want to consider mounting yours in a box similar to mine to keep it safe and dry.

Re: halo question

radio shack. 3-4 bux. then over to lowes for some screws ans washers. prolly spent 8 bux. i mounted the regulator to the TOP of the box this way when i oen it the wires are in sight. if you bury it in the box a bit tougher to mess with.
