Has anyone found a way to adjust auto headlight sensitivity?

last few trips out with about 2 hours of sunlight, my auto headlights turn on. Of course, this automatically dims the dashboard lights and the mygig display, which makes the display very difficult to see when driving into the sun.

Does anyone know of an adjustment of auto headlight sensitivity? I thought the sensor was on the dashboard, do I need to take it apart and clean it?

I had the same observation and comment. Dealer told me "no" to sensitivity adjustment capability.

If you have "smart beams", I think the sensor is by the rearview mirror on the front side; otherwise it is in the front center of the top of the dashboard.

on the left hand stalk, the adjuster to the right of the beam settings (parking, off, auto, etc) is a rotating switch that adjusts the interior lights, all the way on will turn on ALL of your dome, map and courtesy lights while going the other direction dims them. This can be used to increase the brightness when the headlights come on (when they turn off, the settings return to normal).
