Heat / AC only works on MAX

Just purchased an 05 WK (v6 if that matters), and as of this morning the heat only works on the max setting, for some reason no air is coming through on the other settings. Have you guys ever experienced this? Any ideas for fixes? It's sooo cold in Chicago

If at first you don't succeed...so a couple of searches later I found this: my a/c heater only work on high...

Re: Heat / AC only works on MAX

FWIW - I changed this resistor pack 3 times in 3 years in my Dakota with the factory part from the dealership. When it failed again in year 4, I got an aftermarket resistor from Advance for a third the price. Never changed it again over the next 5 years.

Re: Heat / AC only works on MAX

Jes - that's great advice thanks! The Jeep dealership by my house charged me $37 for the resistor, I'm glad there's cheaper alternatives if needed :-/

Oh, and try www.rockauto.com ... they have the blower motor resistor from $5.15 to $13.14 plus shipping. I've had really good luck buying their 'middle of the road' replacement parts. Quick shipping, too.
