I believe those vacuum lines are on the throttle body correct? If so it won't cause any issue to disconnect and the reconnect them. If left disconnect it will run like crap and then probably die.
I believe he accidently bumped your crank sensor wiring or the large c-200 connector by your drivers side strut tower. Check, unplug and re-plug in those sensors/connectors and make sure they are tight. Check the PCM ones also.
I see you have an 05 is it the original battery? If so it needs changed.
I recommend the MTP-94R/H7 from Interstate.
Optima used to be awesome but they were bought out and the quality has suffered.
Has it ever died for no reason just driving down the road?
Crank sensors can suddenly just die. It's an easy fix. Old ZJ's are notorious for them going out suddenly.
It's a Jeep though so it may just go away too.
