HHP 180 t-stat

HHP 180 Degree Thermostat & Gasket - 5.7L & 6.1L HEMI Engines
SKU: 10183
Reduced engine temperatures add life to your engine and provide a denser air/fuel mixture which helps produce more horsepower. Consistent control of engine temperature allows an engine to operate at its peak efficiency no matter what the driving conditions. The factory 205 degree thermostat simply cycles open and closed, this reduces cooling efficiency in any engine. With the 180 degree thermostat you get consistent engine cooling and a precise metering of water throughout the engine. Constructed of stainless steel this thermostat will last the lifespan of your car.
PRICE: $30.00

is this a good quality and price

Re: HHP 180 t-stat

Never heard of them... Personally JET isn't much more and they offer a good product.

Re: HHP 180 t-stat

I know the company, and the price is ridiculously high. I got mine at NAPA for like $8. Had the same one on both my SRT8s and have never had a problem with them. Part number 165.

Don't forget though, you need a tune to lower your fans turn on temps. Otherwise you're circulating hot coolant. Without airflowing through the radiator theres no heat transfer or temperature reductions..

Re: HHP 180 t-stat

The Predator can change the fan turn on temps.

And yes, just go to NAPA and ask for thermostat part number 165. You can put it in before you change the fan turn ons, but don't expect to see much of a temperature change.
