Sup ladies?! Next on my ever growing list of mods is a set of halos for my headlights and fogs. So I can get a good idea of what you all have, I'd like to see via pics whatcha all got! I'd love to find a set of 08-10 OEM HID housing, but it's not the easiest find out there, unless I call Jeep and spend a shit load, which I def don't wanna do! Haha I know I "can" use my stock headlight housing but will it work as well w/o projectors? Anyways, please show me yo sheeyat. And if you have any links or know of people I can make purchase from, please lemme know! I will be buying the HID conversion kit from xenondepot since you all speak so highly of them and they look great!!
Just aim the lights so it wont cause "too" much glare for other drivers. I used to say Halos are for BMWs but after seeing Escape,Rob,Moe's, Jeeps can definitely pull it off without looking you know lol. I got Flashtech Halo Rings. hooking mine up this week and will be posting pics

Sweet I wanna see pics!! I DEF want both! I think they look amazing! Ok I guess I don't need to really get projectors, but if I find some for a good price I,ll get em. Another question? How do you hook em up (halos)? I think I'd want them to come on w the lights but I have auto and I may wanna just rock the halos at certain times...(separate switch?) I dunno I'm new to all this! haha
there's a thread on how to hook up the halos by Escape. But if you are new to this like me, it wont be much help. (or maybe I'm jsut that clueless LOL). This is what i ordered. Its a wireless setup so you wont have to drill through any firewall and set up switches. 8 levels of brightness, strobe, dimmer with a control of a button. Mine should come in this week and Ill go from there lol.
Hmmmm ok thanks everyone! And thanks for all the links too! More bookmarks! haha
On a side note, I think that Robs Grey Ghost is my fav of all the WKs on here. Love the style and color! Scott yours too, love the bloodied son of a...!
Anyways, I think when I do my HIDs n Halos w my stock housing and I'm gonna stay away from the projectors for now, unless I find me some OEM HIDs!
This was the Jeep from "Crank This" and he is pushing 900hp and supercharged. Sweet as ride I tell yah!!!! He was in American Muscle Showdown carshow with me. His name is Mike.
It is a sic ass Jeep!!!! I've decided to just go with HIDs for now and not halos. I can add them beeyatches later if I want. My Jeep's made for the mud, snow, rain, sand and bitches! (dont let my gf see that part haha) Hollaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
Honestly I love my OEM HID projectors and I got them cheap on ebay ($400 for both, $450 total to include two relay harnesess from ddm tuning). However, I am thinking of buying a different color bulb later. The 4300K is much better than the stock halogens, but I think I'd rather have 5000 or 6000s in there. However, you don't have to buy the projectors for HIDs. Your halogen lamps will work, and it will be a great improvement still, but the pattern will be more scattered. I had HIDs in my 2006 Ranger's halogen lamps and it was a huge improvement from the stock halogens, but people would flash me all the time thinking I had my brights on. I lowered the lamps and they stopped flashing their highs at me so it worked out.
The two pics of my old ranger show the glare of HIDs with halogen housings, but it's not that bad as you can see, but the third pic is my WK while I was swapping to the OEM HIDs. The light on the left is the OEM halogens lamps with the halogen bulb, and the light on the right is the OEM HID with the 4300K bulb. Finally, the last pic of my WK you can see the projector cutoff pattern on the building to the left of the truck.
*** Apparently I uploaded the wrong pic... The first picture was Ford's SVT Lightning bolt concept. The 5.4 Supercharged V8 from the F-150 Lightning, in a 2003 Ranger. But the second pic is my old ranger with the HIDs, and the camera caought some of the glare.
Which angel eye lens is best for 10,000k or 20,000k HID's, the clear lens or the blue lens? I've seen a Scion with HID's in angel eyes and they were a crazy deep blue. I want it bad.
