Things are not cheap over here in the UK 69 is a good price for a complete HID kit. That equates to about $112. Which may be expensive by American standards, but we dont have the vast options you guys have.

Re: Hid canbus pro

All this "CANBUS" ballast really has is a capacitor hooked up to the input. I've tried out many "CANBUS" style ballasts. They work on some cars and don't work on other cars. My experience with the cherokees is that a relay harness works best as it ensures that the ballasts always receive a constant 12V.

Re: Hid canbus pro

Update - went to fit my HIDS, no issue with flickering, or strobbing etc.

BUT, my current bulbs are not 9006 HB4 as mentioned in the manual, or by the service centre, but they are H11. I am so fooking annoyed. I now have to wait and see what the supplier says about this opened box. Wish Jeep would of pulled their finger out of their a$$holes are corrected that mistake before it went to print.

Re: Hid canbus pro

Had the same problem,,, looked at the Stealerships' provided Jeep Manual for the correct bulb replacement and made my order for a 9006.

HID kt arrives to only find out that I have a "WH" Export configured with a H11 low beam,,,,

$ucks big time, and only kick myself in the a$$ for not physically checking the bulb before ordering.... project delayed and more cost.

Sorry to hear Jugganator.... you got stung too... !

Re: Hid canbus pro

good news, the supplier will swap out free of charge, minus postage on my side.

Silica, did you get your low beam hids replaced and installed?

Anyone know why export Jeeps have H11 bulbs?

Re: Hid canbus pro

Different question, while i await my bulbs.

I am looking to purchase 8 LED bulbs for my side lights, W5W. Has anyone tried this yet? If so, did they have any issues with flickering, or other issues?

Idea is to match my side lights to my 6000k HIDS.

Go, mod GO.

Re: Hid canbus pro

No sure what 8 LEDs you are replacing,,, but I attempted to replace the taillights with LED on my "WH" Export

Result:
1)the Reverse white LED (3157) was no issue
2)the Signal amber LED (3157) would not blink or sometimes blink super fast
3) the Brake red LED (3157) blew a 10amp mini fuse

Re: Hid canbus pro

you have to use some sort of resistors on the brake and turn lamps for LED's. There are a couple threads here exploring the options
