The bulb inside the headlamp assembly moves (tilts) vertically, changing its pitch to "level" the headlamp beam. The attached picture with the lamp illuminated shows the gap at the top of the aperture, and the partially obscured bottom of the bulb as well. The picture with the lamp switched off shows it in what appears to be a normal (resting) position.

By the way, D'Amico Jeep has a new module on order for my WK; it should be there by Monday. I am going to be there shortly after it arrives, and they will swap it out.

Re: HID Headlights

I'm glad that I made this post. As I know how much of a pain in the ass it was to get these lights working the way they should have. I like that I was not the only 1 having issues with them. And I bet once the parts come in and they recalibrate the system it will work. I was more shocked that all they had to do with mine was just to do a recal of the whole system. I guess that's what happens when the jeep has more computers in it then the space ships lol. Because once they did that my auto hibeams started working properly and same goes for the rain sensor wipers.

Re: HID Headlights

What do you mean by the unlock feature? Or are you saying when you push the unlock button on the key fob?

Re: HID Headlights

Oh ok I now got it lol. I turned that feature off as having our lights blink on and off it can damage the bulb and can burn them out faster. That's why the HIDs stay on when you put the high beams on. This is what I have read a few times about HIDs.

When they replaced the defective auto level module, did it simply need to be replaced, or did they have to reprogram or FLASH any modules? My jeep is doing the same thing, only 2 years old, but over 36k miles. Trying to find the cheapest fix. Dealer wants $108 for the computer hookup, I can order a new module online for $140.
