HID Headlights

I think the motor for my auto leveling system is broken. Before when I turned the Jeep on the head lights would go up/down and then level out. Now they dont do anything just turn on. I noticed the light out put was not the same and looked at the lights and saw that the headlights were stuck down. Anyone else have this problem and what was the cure?

Re: HID Headlights

if you are under warranty...I would take it in. It sounds like one of the sensors. I doubt both leveler motors would go at the same time.

Re: HID Headlights

Oh I thought that it was the sensor as well. I would saw both levels are gone as both just sit there and turn on and that's it. I stayed in the jeep and made sure a few times that they didn't move just to make sure. I lm still in warranty so it will be going in on the weekend to get them fixed. Thanks

Re: HID Headlights

Did you resolve your problem? I have a similar one in the winter. The auto-leveling sticks down. No problem in the summer. I was wondering if this was a lubrication issue.

Re: HID Headlights

It is going back into the dealership this weekend so they can finally get this issue fixed. Hope it works as I'm tired of going there almost every weekend for them to try something else. So I told them, just order the damn sensors and be done with it. Will let you know. Just wondering how you might think it's a lube issue?

Re: HID Headlights

Didn't think so. But the question was asked so I was just wanting to see where he was going with the lube part

Re: HID Headlights

My auto leveling sticks when it gets cold. Sometimes moves slowly, or does not move. When it sticks low, it will occasionally move higher when I am driving. It can be quite distracting.

Re: HID Headlights

Im wondering if any of you guys with the auto level lights and happen to have the factory HIDs would be able to record the headlights doing the sweep when you turn your jeeps on. My dealership has no clue what I am talking about or that these headlights even do what I'm telling them they use to do. Thanks in advance.
