i bought my Spectre filter in silver....one of my customers at the gas station has some leftover 3" PVC pipe, so hes gonna drop it by tomorrow!

i was thinking...instead of getting a whole bunch of 45 degree adapter things(haha...dont know the term) couldnt i just shape the pvc with a heat gun...or would that not be safe??

now think about this ... if you can bend PVC with a heat gun what will happen under that hood ... IMHO protect ur ride I know people here have done it and they have no problems now but go with the real deal wait till you can afford the aluminum at least that's what i would do plus PVC is not going to do anything !!!

just my thoughts before u proceed

but i really would not advise bending PVC as you can deform the plastic material and therefore making the microstructures of that PVC thinner and by time will bend more towards the initial direction and lose effectiveness ...

thanks...i will just get the fittings...and im just gonna do the PVC until i can afford aluminum....thanks for ur help! and that does make sense...bending it will make it weaker, and more prone to damage under the hood! thanks again!

i figured that...didnt hurt to ask!...im going to the hardware store tomorrow to pick up the 2 45degree and 90 degree couplings, and hopefully ill do it after work...i gotta let the engine cool down first! ill try to take pics...its probably gonna be with my iphone...which has a really bad camera!
