Re: Homemade CAI for 3.7?

Not saying it's guaranteed to work perfectly 10 years down the road but I've had my PVC intake in there for quite some time now and thousands of miles. So far no problems or ominious signs.

I just hope the PVC doesnt become brittle from the constant heating/cooling and one day implodes.....sucking the plastic into your intake mani and potentially into your heads

The website itself looks like a fake one. Crappy pictures, plain layout, nasty text. Saying it "Supercharges your car" for $30.

yeah haha...i did some research...they changed the name...it used to be called turbonator....mythbusters tested it, and found out that it actually decreases horsepower!

Re: Homemade CAI for 3.7?

^ The vortex effect (same as the throttle body spacer's effect) of swirling air into throttle body is ineffective since our Jeeps aren't made with carburetors (along with most other vehicles made past the 80's). Fuel injection systems control the fuel/air mix on their own so there's no need to help the atomization process altering air motion.
