Running a stock thermostat, under normal driving conditions it gets to about 201 degrees according to the datalogger on my superchips.

Re: how hot does your engine get>

Since these Jeeps just have the c/h gauge i don't really know. I usually just do it visually. If i am crusing, it is below the half mark by a few ticks. If i am stuck in traffic ill usualy have the ac on, then it is at least half way sometimes a few ticks over half and the engine fan is cooling on full blast ("jet engine mode") just like today in Chicago. It is 98 and not a cloud in the sky and humid here. Really a great day.

Mine too. I've been thinking about seeing if I can get a mechanical fan on my 3.7L in hopes to keep it a little bit cooler.

Yeah i would say overall the clutch fan probably does keep it a tad cooler at normal operating than without it. I still dont know why it edges over the half way mark sometimes. I checked out the entire system and its gravy. No biggie.
