That interesting I didnt realize they were small, or maybe my last car was just big. But my Volvo S60 had a 21.9 gallon tank.. Its going to be interesting going from a inline Turbo 2.4 5 cylinder to a V8 with the same size gas tank and worse gas mileage.. Better not seem like I am there all the time filling up the new Wk2! lol

Edit-- I just read the WK2 is a 24.x fuel tank, so a little bigger. Probably how they are able to advertise the v6 can go 400 miles on one tank.. You make it bigger. lmao

That is one of my biggest gripes about the GC. Even my 2001 BMW X5 has a 25 gallon tank.

I did noticed in the articles in Motor Trend this month on the WK2 that it appears they increased the tank size.

so you know what .387 gallons look like at the bottom of a 21 gallon tank? LMFAO Ha ha ha ha...

Same here, once I drove for like 4 miles after the evic said 0 miles to go, and I filled up, and it was only 19 gallons, I'm guessing the rest is reserve...

I never did the research my good friend, but from what I was told by tech is that since the fuel lines use pressure to get the fuel from the tank to the cylinders is that when running on fumes you risk a chance of hurting the injectors by pumping air into it or some shit along those lines lololol

I think some say to keep ur tank always above 1/4th just to be on the safe side again this is just stuff I hear people say

The gas cools the fuel pump, so when you run it low the fuel pump gets hot. You'll burn up a fuel pump if you do it alot.

Truth:

05-06 = 20.5 gal

07-10 = 21.1 gal

From fumes to clicking off and still less than 60 bucks......ME=jealous. Typical "fill" for me (needle on E but not nearing fumes and going to full but not automatically clicking off) is 65 bucks. Did the math and filling my tank at current prices would cost me $77.60 ($75.27 US$)

Damn Yo!!! I think NJ had the cheapest gas in the country.....

I'm paying $3.23 at the cheapest Chevron in the county. I want to hang myself after every fill up.
