lol No i didnt get the turbo, that was just the quote if i did want one. I wasnt about to spend as much as the Jeep was worth on engine mods
Instead we increased the compression ratio and went for as much as i could get out of the stroker while staying naturally aspirated.
Unfortunately the only dyno #'s i have are flawed. I have one that shows only 140hp and 500ftlb torque. I found out later dyno's read torque and the hp #'s are calculated by a formula of tq and rpm's. Well their rpm reader was only show half the rpms so that was flawed.
Then i got another dyno during my "Tune". After uploading that tune to the Diablosport forum, i was informed all they did was add a bit of fuel. Timing, toque management, and all other settings were still stock. That dyno only put down 313hp which compared to K&N's baseline of 245hp was still a decent improvement.
I recently got a proper tune but we did it on a 2wd dyno, so i do not have accurate #'s on it, but it feels much much better now. In the end im guessing it added approx 75-90 hp. I did mine because i hydrolocked the engine and with the insurance check this cost me $500-$1000. In reality, i would think a supercharger setup would get you the same or perhaps a bit more hp, and if you can do the install yourself it'd prob be cheaper. Just keep the boost reasonable unless you have the engine internals improved.
